Our objectives
Skeive Filmer - Oslo Gay and Lesbian Film Festival (OGLFF) - is an annual international film festival that focuses on gay, lesbian, bisexual and transsexual themes. The festival began as "Homofilmklubben" (The Gay Film Club) in 1990, and is today one of the largest and most popular arrangements held during the annual "Skeive Dager" (Gay Pride) in Oslo.The purpose of OGLFF is to show feature films, documentary films and short films from around the world that treat homosexuality in one way or another. The programme is widely varied with respect to both themes and genre: drama, comedy, suspense, musicals and animated films.
OGLFF also arranges special screenings of feature films or documentaries in cooperation with vairous institutions and special interest organizations, including the Norwegian Film Institute, Norwegian Gay Health Committee, Amnesty International, Norwegian Association for Trans-gendered and Queer World.
Organization
OGLFF is an independent non-profit organization, a member of The Norwegian Federation of Film Societies (NFK), and represented on the board of "Skeive Dager".The Oslo Gay and Lesbian Film Festival 2005 (the fifteenth annual festival) - has a board with five members and a working committee consisting of eleven people. In addition, the film festival depends on the work of volunteers to assist with ticket sales and other tasks during the festival.
